Step-by-step instructions
Follow these cues to master proper technique and stay safe through every rep.
- Step 1Setup
- Adjust the seat height of the trunk rotation machine so that your knees are aligned with the pivot point of the machine.
- Sit down and secure your feet under the footpads, ensuring your back is pressed against the backrest.
- Step 2Select Weight
- Choose an appropriate weight that allows you to perform the exercise with proper form.
- Start with a lighter weight if you are a beginner to focus on technique.
- Step 3Position Your Body
- Grab the handles or place your hands on the designated areas, ensuring your elbows are bent at a comfortable angle.
- Engage your core and keep your back straight against the backrest.
- Step 4Rotate Your Torso
- Begin the movement by rotating your torso to one side, keeping your hips stable and your feet planted.
- Focus on using your core muscles to control the movement, rather than forcing it with your arms.
- Step 5Return to Center
- Slowly rotate your torso back to the starting position, maintaining control throughout the movement.
- Ensure that you do not rush the return, as this helps in engaging the muscles effectively.
- Step 6Repeat
- Continue to alternate your torso rotation from side to side for the desired number of repetitions.
- Maintain proper form and control with each repetition to avoid injury.
- Step 7Finish the Exercise
- After completing your reps, carefully exit the machine, ensuring to keep your movements controlled.
- Take a moment to stretch your torso and relax your muscles after the workout.
