Follow these cues to master proper technique and stay safe through every rep.
- Step 1Setup
- Step into the standing calf raise machine with one foot on the platform edge.
- Position the shoulder pads on your shoulders.
- Lift your other foot off the platform.
- Step 2Execution
- Lower your heel below the platform to achieve a full calf stretch.
- Push through the ball of your foot to raise your heel as high as possible.
- Squeeze your calf at the top of the movement.
- Step 3Return
- Slowly lower your heel back to the stretched position.
- Keep the movement smooth and avoid jerking.
- Complete all reps on one leg before switching.
